We are blessed to have access to the Living Well Church facilities, including an Auditorium for Drama, School Assemblies and Productions,  a Gymnasium for Sports and a Café for entertaining our guests and holding important BC Chapman community events. Upstairs we have a well-resourced Library and Music room. Our Wood Technology workshop is a favourite learning space where our akonga design and build all manner of amazing creations.

Library


We are blessed with a wonderful library facility, full of rich literature for our tamariki. 

Open four lunchtimes a week, Whaea Sylvia, our librarian, enthusiastically engages with our ākonga as they select their next set of personal reading material.

Music Room


Resourced with percussion instruments, ukulele, recorder, drums, guitars, and keyboard, our tamariki have a weekly music lesson with Whaea Maria our Specialist Music Kaiako. 

Using Orf and Kadai based programmes, musical knowledge and skills are systematically taught.

Workshop


Each Wednesday morning our Wood Technology workshop is a hive of activity as our Year 7 & 8 ākonga learn the art of designing and completing a range of different building projects. 

With three extremely skilled kaiako, they have wonderful opportunities to catch a vision of what can be achieved and develop practical life skills.

Auditorium


Having access to this facility allows us to hold powhiri, assemblies, kura productions, choir concerts, drama and dance practices, and entire BC Chapman community events, such as our Easter service and Prizegiving. 

Gymnasium


This facility is in use each day, as tamariki develop their fitness and sporting skills. 

From circuit training and games, to targeting specific basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, and hockey skills. Irrespective of the weather outside, they are active. 

Cafe


Hospitality expresses the heart of our BC Chapman community. 

We frequently have the opportunity to show love through the provision of delicious food. It is a natural hub where relational connections can be built. 

Year 7 & 8 tamariki have weekly Food and Nutrition lessons, where they create meals for community distribution, as well as learn important life skills.
